I’ve been under the weather these past few days, carrying an awful inner ear infection of some sort. Recovering slowly, I have managed to take my hubby out for birthday lunch yesterday. After a stressful week babysitting and giving our finances a makeover, was an unexpected gift for me as well. We walked along the crowed but tranquil beach and admired the cloud filled serene sky that brought such a joyous tone of gray. Swain has a thing for moody gray skies and stormy weather so it was a perfect combination of scenery. It was a bit crowed but we enjoyed our privacy in a restaurant less congested, ordered a glass of pinot grigio and look out into the ocean. We didn’t realize just how much we needed this until the wine kicked in and the wind blew warm across our faces.
It isn’t enough to live close to a beach. Time and life choices really get in the way of what’s truly appreciated. So, swain and I decided to take advantage of every nook and cranny of sea-life-paradise we have here and get a hotel once a more month for a few days, right on the water.
