Gluten – Yay or Nay?

You see “gluten free” this and “gluten free” that all over menus and television nowadays but what is gluten and why go gluten free?!? baked bread! What is Gluten? If you don’t know, now you know! Gluten is actually a protein that is found in grains and wheat such as rye breads. Gluten helps the dough rise and keeping its elasticity, while maintaining its shape and texture. It is often unnoticed until a food is made without.
Gluten Free or not Gluten Free, That Is the Question ~ The popularity that swarms around the gluten free lifestyle is one that is associated with celiac’s disease, an immune reaction to eating foods that contain gluten.

UGH! So I Guess that Means I Can’t Eat Anything FUN Anymore!

Vegetables and fruits

Poultry and meats

Dairy

And naturally gluten free grains:

soy

rice

potato

millet

tapioca

sorghum

beans

corn (maize)

flax

That’s, like, a TON of really cool, nutrient-based sustenance that you can create wholesome delicious meals from!

Whether you are gluten intolerant or not, it is highly beneficial to look at both sides if the gluten debate!
